These challenges simulate real-world attacks where adversaries manipulate individuals into divulging confidential information. In CTFs, social engineering might involve researching a fictional company, interacting with bots or fake "employees," or using clues to discover passwords or access hidden areas in a system, making these challenges both intriguing and educational.
